What People are Saying About Midlife Mountain Magic
I'm not quite 43 years old yet, like the heroine of the novel, but darned if I didn't appreciate a main character in a romance novel who's all grown up and has some of the same problems I do. Of course, Liz has other problems - bigger problems, really, like finding out she's magical as a grown adult - but that's also what makes this book fun! Most stories where the main character is discovering their abilities happen when that character is young, so it's fun to see the same trope turned on its head a bit. As for the romance, I'm not sure Liz's choice would be my choice, but he's a dreamboat all the same. I'm glad to see there are more books coming - I'm not done learning about Liz's world!

I can relate to Beth Ryan because I had a Beth Ryan in my life. Sometimes life throws you a curveball, and it takes dedication to deal with such obstacles. This book does a good job of showing how one can develop as a person and overcome impossible odds.

Beth is a middle aged woman whose dentist spouse is cheating on her. After an “accident” with Sean’s BMW she finds herself working with her Dad, having magical abilities she never knew about, and her life is changing for the better. It was interesting, fast paced, characters where fun to get to know and the situations the characters found themselves in in this story were dark and sad at times but it made the story work so much better. The author did an amazing job. Not overly descriptive to where it took away from the moment or story. I enjoyed all the characters in this story that I don't have one favorite. I'm excited to dive into the sequel once I get through a few others on my list. Forbidden love at its most enjoyable. Danger, secrets, magic and loss around every corner. This book had it all. 4 and 5 star ratings for me are hard but earned when given. Good job.”

“This is a very well written, concise and fast paced read. I read the entire book in the span of only two days (it was that good). The author did a great job in detailing events and bringing in new characters to the story. I also appreciated how she avoided the graphic sexual content and unnecessary swearing that is sometimes found in this genre. The characters seemed very real, the conversations between them were entertaining and plausible. I enjoyed the values and integrity held by most of the characters as well.
